Haribo History

In 1920 Hans Riegel of Friesdorf near Bonn in Germany started Haribo after training as a confectioner.  His humble beginnings started with a basic kitchen, and basic tools with his wife becoming his first employee in 1921.  The name Haribo as a mash up of Hans name and his place of birth (HAns RIegel BOnn).  Haribo today its a hugely successful company with its colourful brand recognised world-wide.
